New release: Brian 2.11

We are happy to announce the Brian 2.11 release. This release fixes a number of important bugs, improves error messages and documentation, and adds new support for Statements and Expression objects that support variable substitution, adhering to the same syntax as Equations. Following SPEC-0, this Brian release requires Python ≥ 3.13 and numpy ≥ 2.3. We now also provide pre-compiled Python wheels/conda packages for the recently released Python 3.15.

For more details, head over to the release notes.

Brian 2 can be installed with pip from the pypi repository, via conda-forge and via several other means (some of them might take a while to catch up to the latest release). See the installation instructions, and the badges in the README file for more details.
